Setting up the budget unit
A budgetary unit was set up under the Industrial Directorate of the Navy Command, based on the north shore of Lake Mangalia.
1956Mangalia Shipyard becomes Mangalia Shipyard
By H.C.M. no. 767/27.09.1963, the unit changes its name to Mangalia Shipyard, becoming a unit with its own economic management, subordinated to the Industrial Directorate of the Ministry of the Armed Forces.
1963Reorganization as a branch without legal personality
Until 2001, the yard functioned as a branch of S.C. "Arsenal" S.A. (part of C.N. "Romarm" S.A.), with limited economic and financial autonomy. This form was established by Government Decision No 979/2000.
2000Become a public limited company
By H.G. no. 952/27.10.2001 is established S.C. Șantierul Naval Mangalia S.A., a Romanian legal entity, with registered office at 1 Intrarea Portului Street, under the authority of the Ministry of Industry and Resources.
2001Joint venture
In the period 04.08.2008 - 30.04.2013, the company was a joint venture (without legal personality) with the company S.C. Sisteme Navale Mangalia S.R.L.
